Glad to have you here also. Personally I think some changes are good and whatever you do to make your car a little more special, then more power to you. Again welcome to the site!!!!!

Me personally I wouldn't change a Capri to a Mustang. Might as well put a 350 in it while your at it. That's just me.

ok why is that? just curious why you say that.it comes factory with a Ford powerplant, its built on the fox frame, oh yea and the parts interchange is exact, every part is stamped ford motor company, even the "capri" emblems have ford part numbers....i just didnt like the bubble hatch..it was on the 83 capri the 85 had a flat hatch so thats what i put on it and used my mustang tails because capri tails sell for twice sometimes 3 times as much......to suggest putting a chevy motor in it is not even close to interchanging parts from the same make. its like rebuilding your ford 302 boring it to 306 and putting forged internals in it,its not stock its not ford parts so why do it? or buying an aftermarket hood. i dont see the problem with any of this by the way. if using stock replacement parts to make MY car mine is frowned upon ,then using aftermarket performace parts should be frowned upon as well..thats just me. this is what in was trying to avoid by joining here, i know it doesnt reflect everyones views but if you dont have anything nice to say dont say it especialy on my topic ranting about the people who were doing what you just did.

I agree. you have to do what makes you happy. Ya everyone may not like it or agree but its your car and your the one that has to live with what ever you do.
Still haven't found a dash pad or seen anyone selling one.

I wouldn't worry about what other people think. Do what you want. Just remember everyone has their own preferences when it comes to their cars and everyone has their own opinions. I just wouldn't worry about it.
