Did anyone besides myself recieve this email in their inbox?
"Well i am sick of the so-called members not showing up to any of the d**n meetings or events we have,But that's ok cause we are about to eliminate that nuts and any members who do not show up to Gunthers the last sat of this month will be out,and we will pick up and move on with the members who are serious about the club and helping it to grow,And we will be taking phone numbers for those who decide to show up so we can hava a contact roster,So if you want to remian in the club then let's show some spirit,I Know we have a few members deployed but i need a response from everyone who is gonna be there on the last sat. of this month."
Apparently he is the president or something? If we are going to have a president that acts like this in his emails, I feel that something needs to be done on this matter. I have a LOT of things on my plate right now, and I try my best to attend the meetings if possible, so far my job, class, family obligations among other things, have kept me from being a more active member of the club.
I have been able to attend ONE meeting for the Mafia, and Mr. Baker was there, it was at Office Depot, and I actually took a little liberty in checking things out for a while, I was currently at work when I attended and was in full uniform. If we are going to have officials that curse at us because we have other obligations, then I think we need to look at ourselves as a club and decide what the next course of action is, however I refuse to listen to someone that thinks the world revolves around him and a car club.
If attendance is really that much of a problem, a simple email of club policy and membership termination would suffice, not a harrassive, abrasive message that I recieved.
Thanks for reading my rant.
Aaron

Hey Aaron, No worries about the email. It is supposed to just go to the Colorado Chapter. I emailed him about this situation, sending it to members outside of his chapter and them wondering what is going on. He apologized as it was meant for just his chapter. Now, on to the situation. My suggestion was if he wanted to get membership attendence up was to not send these spiteful emails, instead to send emails that show pictures of the cruise and telling about the fun they have, that way people will want to come, not feel like they are being forced to. These emails are quite frequent and the last one that I received, I suggested that he hold meets all over the states by sub chapters, kinda like our Leitchfield chapter, it allows them to have meets without having to drive for 2.5 hours to get to the home chapter's meets. That idea hasn't been used yet. These emails have been sent the past couple of weeks, now my club (Tri-County, our show is tomorrow, go to www.tri-countycarclub.com/events.htm for details LOL, has a monthly meeting and a monthly cruise-in, which generally takes place during the same week. After that they can do whatever for the next 3-4 weekends, and if they don't show up to our cruise-in we don't get mad because we realise that people have more important things in their life than a car meet. We encourage the attendence, but we don't force it. Just my perspective. Jason

i never get e-mails my e-mail address changed a while ago but no one ever looks to se my profile change or even read a reply i sent to one of the e-mails at my old address. I am so glad i don't have to be part of the colorado ch. We meet up almost weekly down here in Leitchfiled. not because we have to or even because it's recomended we just get together hang out bs and kick up a few races nearly every weekend. If it wasn't that way most of us would be taking our mustang mafia stickers off our cars and leaving this club. It's a car club to hang out with friends and meet new people when people start telling you what you can and can't do f that. It's all about having fun and it sucks some people have to ruin the fun of it thinking every waking moment of the members lives shoud be lived around a club. WTF?

Well i do apologise to everyone that got the e-mail that was supposed to be meant for the members here in the colorado chapter. And another thing i run this club the it should be run and we are all about haveing fun and we do get together and bs. The thing is i have 88 members here in colorado and we only get about 20% of them showing up at any one time and always the same people. And then we have people that are in the club that are in just to be in a club, and i do not play that crap, and as far as telling people what to do,well you're darn right i do. This chapter has 10 great sponsors which in return for their discount's and service's to this Chapter they ask for something in return which as Pres of The Mustang Mafia of Colorado i am obligated to make sure they do not pull their sponsorship away from us since they have treated us so good and have been there for the club when needed and we get people in the club that take advantage of the sponsors and never show up to any events. This chapter is well known in the state of Colorado and well respected and i feel (and other members as well)that if the club does'nt live up to it's potential then what's the sense of having a club as great as The Mustang Mafia. Now for those who want to complain about my e-mail fine i understand being upset and i sincerely apologize, and for those who want to put me down for the way i run this Chapter well you all know what you can do and that is contact me personally and we will discuss it at that time. I am 100% dedicated to this club and it's cause and to have fun and it has gone as far as to interfere with my marriage because i want this club to be a success, that is how much the Mafia family means to me and since we are on the subject of family, this club if run like a family we are there for each other in the time of need and that kind of closeness is admired throughout other clubs in this area and we have taken the racing from the streets to the strip and other clubs have followed our suit and for that this club get's alot of thanks and admiration from the local police dept. So those who want to critisize go right ahead and if Doug has problems with me then i am sure he will contact me,we have always been on the up and up with each other which is the way a family is supposed to be,Doug is the father of this orginization and that is the way i look at him,i answer to him and if i need anything or want to do something within the club i ask his permission first and that is the way it is within the colorado chapter as well that way everyone stays on the straight and narrow,I am the leader of this chapter just like Doug is the leader of all chapter's and this chapter is successful for the fact every group need's a leader, someone to go to and that person here in colorado is me. So i am sorry if you all disagree with the way i run things here but the fact is i get things done and with having 88 members in colorado we need to have someone in control and that person is me and if you all think you can take better control of that many member's then i am open to suggestions.
James Kercheval-Pres. The Mustang Mafia of Colorado

now im going to have to agree with jason and the rest on this, i have been to the tri county car club cruises and shows, everyone gets along and no problems at all...but thank god i didtn get that e mail or i would have been like the rest...there are alot of ppl in this club that have to deal with work and all kinds of crap....but thats no reason to go off on them like you did for your chapter....
the mafia is a great club but with leadership like that, thank god jerry isnt that way...i do plan on attending some events when i get my car back together, my gt is currently undergoing a makeover so she sits in the garage until im done working....and when i bring that car out, yeah, its going to be a head turner and advertise for the mustang mafia.....
and yeah, im trying to get people around here to join so maybe we can get a central ky chapter going on....
